Player Biography

Corey Blackett-Taylor joined Charlton in August 2021 following an impressive trial period.

Born in Erdington, Blackett-Taylor began his career with Aston Villa, progressing through the Villans' academy age groups before earning his senior debut in March 2017.

The England youth international spent the latter half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Walsall, before sealing a move to newly promoted League One side Tranmere Rovers, where he would go on to enjoy 62 appearances.

Following the expiration of his contract at Prenton Park, Blackett-Taylor joined Charlton on an initial short-term deal. The wideman immediately impressed in SE7 and, within three months, was rewarded with a new contract running until at least 2023.

The club triggered the one-year extension clause in Blackett-Taylor's contract in March 2023.

In January 2024, the winger joined Derby County on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season ahead of signing for the Rams on a permanent basis in the summer.
