Player Biography

Joe Wollacott joined the Addicks in June 2022, signing a three-year contract in SE7.

The stopper began his career at Bristol City, joining the Robins' academy at the age of 14.

Wollacott gained first-team experience with a variety of loan spells outside of the EFL before moving to then-League Two side Forest Green Rovers on loan ahead of the 2019/20 season. The Bristol-born goalkeeper made his professional debut against Charlton at The Valley in the EFL Cup, saving a penalty and keeping a clean sheet as Rovers prevailed.

He joined Swindon on a seven-day emergency loan in February 2021, before putting pen-to-paper on a permanent deal at the County Ground in June 2021.

An impressive start to the 2021/22 campaign saw Wollacott make his Ghana debut in October 2021 and he has since helped guide his country to the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The keeper was also named in the 2021/22 League Two Team of the Season.
