Melissa Johnson signed for the Addicks after leaving Bristol City in 2022.

Beginning her career with Sheffield FC, Johnson has racked up the games at the Women’s Championship level. She has played for Leicester City, Sheffield United and Aston Villa, helping the latter of which to the 2019/20 Championship title. She also made headlines at Villa that season after scoring three hat-tricks in the opening five games.

After her spell at Bristol City, Johnson starred in her debut season at Charlton, sharing the league’s Golden Boot award with London City’s Sarah Ewens.

Johnson recently signed a contract extension with the Addicks to remain at the club for another season.
