Jacob Roddy joined Charlton's academy in the summer of 2021 following a successful trial period.

The defender arrived from Bradfield College in Reading having previously enjoyed a spell in Southampton's academy.

In August 2021, Roddy earned his first-team debut for the Addicks in a Carabao Cup tie against AFC Wimbledon at The Valley.

The full-back made his league debut in Charlton's final-day clash at Cheltenham Town in May 2023 and the club then exercised an option to extend his contract.

In October 2023, Roddy joined Weston-super-Mare on a month-long loan.

The defender joined National League side Oxford City on a one-month loan deal in January 2024, which was subsequently extended by a further month.
