Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) are delighted to announce that Rivervale will be the title sponsor of the sold-out CACT Golf Day on Thursday, May 14th.
The Golf Day, which is being held to raise funds in support of CACT’s life-changing work, is taking place at the Wildernesse Golf Club in Sevenoaks and will see a host of Addicks legends pick up their clubs, including Alan Curbishley, Steve Brown, Steve Gritt, Jon Fortune, Lee Bowyer and Bob Bolder.
The fundraiser will begin with each player receiving breakfast before heading out onto the course for a shotgun start, while a two-course meal will be served once the round has finished, alongside games and a raffle in aid of CACT.
Ben Freakley, Rivervale Group Marketing Manager, said: “Rivervale are proud to be the title sponsor of this year’s CACT Golf Day and to continue supporting an organisation that delivers such important work across its communities. Our partnership with CACT means a great deal to us because we have seen the difference their programmes make to people’s lives. Events like this are a brilliant way to bring people together, celebrate that impact and raise valuable funds to help CACT continue delivering its life-changing work.”
In addition to thanking Rivervale for their support, we would also like to thank our six Golf Day hole sponsors: University of Greenwich, DBD Services, Martin Arnold, Faithorn Farrell Timms, Bayliss Executive Travel and KWisdom Consulting Ltd.
CACT CEO Jason Morgan said: “My thanks go to our good friend Russell Mears for helping secure this wonderful venue for a third consecutive year, and to Peter Walter, General Manager of The Wildernesse, for his support. This event is in aid of CACT and I’d like to extend my personal thanks to all of our key partners who have kindly provided sponsorship. Particular thanks go to Vince Pemberton and Rivervale who are our title sponsors for the day.
“The work of CACT has been ongoing for over 30 years and I am extremely proud of everything we continue to achieve as an organisation. Our most recent figures showed that we worked with over 28,000 people in 2024/25 - enough to fill The Valley and still leave people outside - highlighting the scale and reach of our work.
“Days like this are increasingly important in helping us to maintain that level of impact as we navigate the ongoing challenges facing the charitable sector. The funds raised provide vital unrestricted income, allowing us to continue supporting thousands of participants across our programmes.”
