SUSTAINABILITY
Charlton Athletic Football Club (CAFC), together with our affiliated charity Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT), have together been pioneers in empowering communities and changing lives by improving health, education, employment and reducing crime. We recognise that our public platform and proven capability of generating social value uniquely places the organisation in a position to embed and influence environmental sustainability, both for CAFC, CACT and our wider stakeholders.

OUR IMPACT TARGETS
CAFC and CACT together have a platform which enables us to drive positive change. To support this however, we need to demonstrate our commitment and progress on environmental sustainability. To underpin our performance on this we have embedded several environmental impact targets into our strategic direction as a community focused club, see our Environmental Impact Targets 2030 by clicking here.
CHARLTON’S GREEN TEAM
Charlton’s Green Team researches, assesses and recommends initiatives to the main boards of CAFC and CACT and acts as an auditor of actions taken to ensure that Charlton delivers its published Environmental Impact Targets 2030 and strives to make positive change in how the club and its stakeholders impact the environment. See our Green Team Organisation & Manifesto here.
Through our current principal sponsorship arrangements with both RSK Group, global leaders in sustainability services, alongside the University of Greenwich, a first class University ranked in the 2025/26 People and Planet University League and CAFC’s appointment of Veolia UK as our waste resource management contractor, CAFC is well placed and supported to work towards our ultimate ambition to become one of the most sustainable clubs in the EFL.
