Addicks draw Walsall away in Carabao Cup

Charlton will head to Walsall in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Following the regionalised draw which took place on Wednesday evening, the Addicks have been paired with the Saddlers for the game at the Poundland Bescot Stadium with ties set to take place on Tuesday, August 23rd and Wednesday, August 24th.

Charlton booked their place in round two thanks to a penalty shootout victory over Championship side Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday evening after Aaron Henry scored a late stunner to force a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

Walsall, meanwhile, won through to the second round after beating Swindon Town 2-0 at home.

Confirmation on a date for the cup tie will be announced once confirmed, with ticket information made available in due course.
