We hope you’re looking forward to our away trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, August 13th.

Here are a few details that may help you plan a great away day at Hillsborough.

Tickets

Purchase

  • Charlton have been allocated 1,780 tickets for the game at Hillsborough.
  • Tickets will be available to purchase from The Valley's Ticket Office until 1pm on Friday, August 12th.
  • Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase from the Sheffield Wednesday Ticket Office on the day of the game for cash only.

  • Adult: £26
  • Over 65: £16
  • U21: £16
  • U17: £15
  • U11: £10
  • U5: £5

Stadium
  • The stadium is credit/debit card only.

Disabled supporters

  • Ambulant Disabled: Available at the relevant price and the helper goes free. 
  • Wheelchair Bays: Nine bays are available at the relevant price and the helper goes free. 
  • Contact Charlton’s Ticket Office to book a disabled space.

Valley Away Coach

  • Price: £24 

 

Coach One pick-up points

  • Larkfield: 7.50am
  • Gravesend: 8.15am
  • Dartford: 8.30am
  • Bexleyheath: 8.45am
  • Charlton: 9am

Coach Two pick-up points

  • Bromley: 8.25am
  • Eltham: 8.45am
  • Charlton: 9am

Train

Supporters should note that there is rail disruption on lines throughout the country on Saturday due to strike action. Click here to keep up to date.

  • Sheffield train station is around three miles away from the ground, but the number 53 bus to Ecclesfield can be taken from the nearby bus station and runs regularly to the ground with a journey time of 30 minutes.
  • To reach the train station, supporters should depart from London St Pancras.
  • Trains are every half an hour and the journey time is approximately two hours.

Where To Park
  • Parking at the ground is not available, however some street parking is available if you arrive early.
  • Please note most roads near to Hillsborough are permit only.
  • Alternatively, you can park at Meadowhall Railway Station without charge and take a tram to Leppings Lane. This costs £3 and takes approximately 35 minutes.
  • Postcode for SatNav: S6 1SW

Where To Drink
  • The Railway Hotel on Penistone Road accepts visiting supporters.
  • The Rawson Spring Wetherspoons on Langsett Road also accepts away fans.

Where To Eat
  • Traditional football ground food can be bought from inside the ground.
  • Takeaways can be found in the surrounding areas of the ground and there is also a Burger King within walking distance of the stadium.

Turnstiles
  • Away fans are situated in the upper tier of the Leppings Lane End.

Programme
  • Sheffield Wednesday's official matchday programme is available from the ground, priced £3.
