Elerewe captains young Addicks against Wigan

Deji Elerewe will captain Charlton's U21s against Wigan Athletic at The Valley this afternoon (KO 2pm BST).

Trialist Fankaty Dabo, who has recently been training with Dean Holden's squad, starts alongside first team trio Conor McGrandles, Diallang Jaiyesimi and Charlie Kirk.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Prince Adegoke also starts after joining the Addicks' U21s on Monday afternoon.

Chris Lock's side are expected to line-up in a 4-3-3 formation with Elerewe and Dabo joined by Zach Mitchell and Jacob Roddy in a back four ahead of Adegoke.

McGrandles will play alongside Harvey Kedwell and Jason Adigun in midfield, behind a front three of Henry Rylah, Jaiyesimi and Charlie Kirk.

Jude Sadler, Ollie Hobden, Nazir Bakrin, Tolu Ladapo and Patrick Casey make up the substitutes bench.
