Fullah: 'Nights like these under the lights are just top!'

18-year-old Ibrahim Fullah lit up The Valley pitch on Tuesday night, as he was brought on as a substitute by Nathan Jones and helped guide his team to a late win against West Brom.

The academy graduate put in an excellent cameo performance that helped secure all three points for the Addicks.

"The opportunity [to play] is something that I've had to be patient for, but I'm glad I took the opportunity, and it was a great win," said Fullah.

"The manager said to get on the ball, express myself, have fun, and get the place rocking and I am happy that I did that."

Fullah expressed how he was pleased to play his part in the squad. He said: "The team is known for being energetic and taking moments like these, the last-minute winners, so it was good to be in that environment and within the team for that."

Sonny Carey’s stoppage time strike made all the difference for the Addicks.

"I was near the edge of the box [when the ball fell to Carey] and as soon as he stuck it, I knew it was going to go in!

"Nights like these under the lights are just top, the fans were great and it was just such a great experience. Any time I get my opportunity to play, I must take it. It's something I've had to be patient for and I have to trust the gaffer’s timing.

"There were some kind words from the gaffer [post-match] and what a great group of boys as well."

The Addicks are back at The Valley on Saturday, November 22nd for the visit of Southampton. Click here to purchase your tickets now!
