Karoy Anderson signs new contract

Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that Karoy Anderson has signed a new contract with the club, which will run until 2028.

Having joined the Addicks’ academy as an eight-year-old, the midfielder progressed through the age groups before marking his senior debut with a goal in November 2022.

Anderson has since made 78 appearances for the club, 46 of which came during last season’s promotion-winning campaign.

The 20-year-old has also established himself on the international stage in that time, earning 15 caps for Jamaica.

After putting pen to paper, Anderson said: "This means a lot to me. Charlton has a very fond place in my heart. I’ve obviously being here for a long, long time and I know all of the coaches and all of the academy staff, so it’s a proper homely feel.

"The Championship is a tougher level that requires more, but it’s an opportunity to grow, work harder and get to that level."

Manager Nathan Jones added: "Karoy has been a key player for us since I arrived at the club, and I love working with him. He’s athletic, hard-working and driven, which makes him so important to the team. He’s also a great character with a positive attitude and a real focus on improving, so I’m delighted he’s signed a new contract with the club."
