TEAM NEWS

The Addicks host league leaders Bristol City at The Oakwood on Sunday, October 30th (KO 2 PM BST).

Karen Hills’ side have only recorded one loss in their last four league games and this week they gear up to face The Robins who remain unbeaten with six games played in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Charlton will be looking to get back to winning ways after narrowly losing out to Lewes 2-1 last Sunday after goals from Ellie Hack and Paula Howells cancelled out Kiera Skeels’ first-half header.

THE OPPOSITION

Bristol City placed third in the Barclays Women’s Championship in the 2021/22 season after being relegated in the 2020/2021 season from the first tier.

Lauren Smith’s side has started the season in impressive form with their only winless game in the league being a 1-1 away to Southampton Women’s in September.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

In the eleven games played between the two sides, Charlton have come away winners on seven occasions with Bristol City Women’s winning three, with only one draw being played out.

Last season The Addicks came out victorious in both the home and away fixtures as the two sides finishing just three points apart in the league standings, Charlton in fifth and Bristol City in third.

In October 2021, two goals from Emma Follis, including a 90+4-minute winner helped her side come away 2-1 winners at The Oakwood.
In January's return fixture, goals from Lois Heuchan and Elise Hughes secured a 2-0 victory in the West Country.
