The Addicks are back in action this weekend, returning after the international break.

Karen Hills' side will make the short trip to Dartford to face London City Lionesses at Princes Park KO is 2 pm BST.

The Addicks recorded their first win of the season a  fortnight ago in an away trip to Birmingham.

Kayleigh Green stepped up to the spot and converted her penalty past Lucy Thomas to give the Addicks a 1-0 lead. The Blues then saw themselves down to ten players in 62nd minute after a second yellow was shown to Jade Pennock. 

Hills' side created more chances in the second half as Freya Godfrey’s had a strike on goal from straight off the bench hit the crossbar, while Freda Ayisi almost added a second when her shot hit the post in the 90th minute.

Carolina Morace’s side heads into Sunday’s proceedings having recorded two draws, a win and a loss this season.

London City are seeking their first win since the start of September having lost their first game on the road this season in a 1-0 defeat to Durham two weeks ago. 

The Lionesses were unfortunate in their last game as Durham’s after Amy Andrews managed to snatch all three points in a late 96th-minute winner for the Wildcats. 

The Lionesses currently sit seventh in the Barclays Women’s Championship table, level on points with the Addicks.

The last time these two sides locked horns was back in April of this year when London City walked away with all three points in a 1-0 win at Princes Park after Atlanta Primus’ shot found the back of the net in the 85th minute winner. 

Charlton’s last victory against London City was back in November 2021 in a 2-0 victory at The Oakwood, goals courtesy of Mia Ross in the 10th minute and an own goal from Harley Bennett in the 52nd minute sealed the win for the Addicks.
