Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Alex Hennessy until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The 18-year-old becomes the Addicks’ first signing of the January transfer window and she will be available for Charlton’s Continental Cup fixture against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, January 11th.
Hennessy joined Hills’ side following her departure from Barclays Women's Super League side West Ham United.
Speaking on her arrival in south London, Hennessy said:
"I’m over the moon to be joining Charlton and working under Karen and the staff. I feel it is a place where I can develop, gain further experience and grow as a player .”
Head Coach Karen Hills added:
"I am thrilled that Alex has joined Charlton, she is a young player who we are really keen to support with her development, we know she will bring a lot of energy into the group and we are all really excited to see her on the pitch."
The signing of Alex Hennessy is subject to FA approval.
