Schools Partnership | Record numbers set for Swansea game

Kids for a Quid

A record number of Charlton Athletic Schools Partnership children will be attending Saturday’s Kids for a Quid game against Swansea City at The Valley (KO 3pm GMT).

Set up at the end of 2024 to help create Charlton fans of the future, the Schools Partnership has given the club a presence in more than 50 primary schools across the borough of Greenwich.

As part of the initiative, schools have received visits from men’s and women’s first-team players, enjoyed exclusive tours of The Valley, taken part in the League One Play-Off Final Schools Partnership Trophy Tour, and even had the chance to play on the pitch at The Valley.

The partnership also gives local schoolchildren access to discounted tickets for six games each season, with every penny from those ticket sales being donated back to their school at the end of the Addicks’ 2025/26 campaign.

Charlton’s Chief Financial and Operational Officer Ed Warrick, said: "We’ve been delighted with the positive impact the Schools Partnership has had. It’s vital for the long-term sustainability and growth of our club that we continue to bring new supporters to The Valley and build the future fanbase.

"As a club embedded in our local community, it’s wonderful to see so many local children experiencing The Valley for the first time, and knowing that their schools benefit from their attendance makes it even more special.

"A lot of work has gone into re-establishing the Schools Partnership over the last year, and we’re really pleased with the results. There’ll be more than 300 Addicks coming to The Valley thanks to the partnership this weekend, and we hope they have a fantastic day, ideally topped off with three points."
