Eoghan O’Connell will captain the Addicks in this evening’s game against Walsall, as Ben Garner makes eight changes from the team that started Saturday’s match against Cambridge United.
Recent academy graduates Lucas Ness, Richard Chin, Aaron Henry and Miles Leaburn all start the Carabao Cup Second Round tie.
There is also a start for Jake Forster-Caskey, his first involvement in the squad since the club’s First Round penalty shootout victory at home to Queens Park Rangers earlier this month.
The Addicks are expected to lineup in a 4-3-3 formation with Sam Lavelle joining Ness, O’Connell and Chin in a back four in front of Joe Wollacott.
The in-form Albie Morgan is expected to partner Henry and Forster-Caskey in a midfield trio behind a front three of Diallang Jaiyesimi, Leaburn and Jack Payne.
