Three former Addicks could represent the Lionesses in Sunday's World Cup final against Spain.
Alessia Russo and Laura Coombs both began their youth careers at Charlton, while Katie Robinson enjoyed a successful loan spell with the club during the 2021/22 campaign.
Alessia Russo (Centre of Excellence, 2007-2010)
Russo started her football career at Charlton Athletic's Centre of Excellence in 2007, aged eight, and spent three years with the club before joining Chelsea.
In 2006, before joining the Centre of Excellence, she was the mascot for her future Manchester United boss and former Charlton player Casey Stoney.
In this year's Women’s World Cup, Russo has started all six games and netted three times, scoring in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Katie Robinson (on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, 2022)
Robinson joined the Addicks from Brighton & Hove Albion for the second half of the 2021/22 season. The forward scored two goals for the club and registered four assists in 11 appearances.
Laura Coombs (Centre of Excellence)
Coombs started her football career at Charlton in the Centre of Excellence programme before joining Arsenal's academy.
The midfielder has played 97 minutes for the Lionesses this tournament, coming on against China and Denmark in the group stages.
