U18 REPORT | Charlton 0 Watford 2

'

Charlton’s U18s fell to a first defeat in six on Saturday, losing 2-0 against Watford at Sparrows Lane.

Watford's trialist fired the visitors ahead on 10 minutes, converting Hamzat Balogun’s low cross past Henry Molyneux from close range.

The trialist was on the scoresheet again just six minutes later, this time poking home Aaron Benn’s inswinging centre.

The young Addicks pushed for a route back in the game thereafter but were ultimately left frustrated by a defensively sound Watford side who protected their advantage well.

Charlton: Molyneux; Okwumo (Yamoah 90), Gough (c), Asiimwe, Hobden (Ogunnowo 32); Hand, Myers (Safa 32), Huke; Rylah, Casey, Enslin
