U18 REPORT | Colchester United 1 Charlton 2

'

Charlton's U18s made it back-to-back wins with a 2-1 triumph at Colchester United on Tuesday.

Patrick Casey and Ryan Huke were both on the scoresheet for Jason Pearce's side at Florence Park.

Following a goalless first half, goalkeeper Henry Molyneux found Henry Rylah racing in behind the U's backline and the winger put the ball on a plate for Casey to stroke home his 34th goal of the campaign.

Huke doubled the young Addicks' advantage on the hour-mark, pouncing on a loose ball and rifling a left-footed effort in off the crossbar from just inside the 18-yard box.

Samson Uwandu then halved the hosts' arrears in Essex with a well-taken finish, but Charlton defended their lead purposefully to claim a second win in three days.

The U18s are next in action on Saturday, March 25th when Wigan Athletic visit Sparrows Lane (KO 10.30am).
