Jason Pearce’s U18s shared the spoils on the road as a late equaliser from Taku Muvhuti sealed a point against Peterborough United in a 1-1 encounter.
The hosts took the lead inside 24 minutes through Nathan Aikins. A corner was played short to Benjamin McWilliams-Marcano who swung an inch-perfect cross into the path of the defender, who controlled well and fired in from close range.
Fortunately for the young Addicks some superb work from Samuel Washington-Amoah saw Pearce’s side draw level with 14 minutes left on the clock. The midfielder latched on to a loose ball over the top of the defence, cutting a clever pass back to Muvhuti who converted with a well-taken volleyed effort.
The U18s return to home soil this weekend, hosting Coventry City at Sparrows Lane (KO 12pm BST).
