U21 CUP REPORT | Barking 0 Charlton 5

'

Five-star Charlton U21s cruised into the semi-finals of the London Senior Cup with an emphatic victory at Barking on Tuesday night.

Euan Williams opened the scoring at the Lawtech Stadium on 20 minutes, racing onto Karoy Anderson’s defence-splitting pass and coolly slotting home.

Nathan Asiimwe doubled the young Addicks’ advantage five minutes after the restart, finishing beyond Barking stopper Harvey Simson in a crowded penalty area.

Danny Senda’s side continued to dominate as the second period wore on but were forced to wait until the 87th-minute for goal number three. Substitute Kai Enslin was the scorer, converting past Simson following a free-flowing Charlton move.

Enslin was on hand to net his second and the young Addicks’ fourth in stoppage time and there was still time for fellow substitute Ryan Huke to round off the scoring in the final seconds.

The U21s will now host Hendon in the London Senior Cup semi-finals for the right to take on Haringey Borough in the showpiece final.

Full information on a confirmed date and tickets for the semi-final tie will be announced once confirmed.
