U21 REPORT | Bristol City 2 Charlton 0

'

Charlton’s 10-man U21s fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of league leaders Bristol City on Tuesday.

The hosts broke the deadlock on 19 minutes at the Robins High Performance Centre through Han-Noah Massengo, who slotted the ball past Ashley Maynard-Brewer after latching onto Omar Taylor-Clarke’s through ball.

The young Addicks were reduced to 10 men on the stroke of half-time as skipper Seydil Toure was dismissed following a professional foul on Massengo.

Charlton continued to push for parity thereafter, but Jamie Knight-Lebel’s header two minutes from time ensured the points stayed in Bristol.

Hamza Serrar’s side are next in action on Thursday, November 10th when they take on Cardiff City at Princes Park (KO 1pm GMT).

Charlton: Maynard-Brewer; O’Connor, Asiimwe, Toure (c), Bower; Hand, Kedwell, Adigun; Kamara, Reilly, Huke

Subs: Kone, Hobden, Gough, Oguntayo, Enslin

Sent off: Toure 45 (professional foul on Massengo)
