U21 REPORT | Hull City 2 Charlton 4

'

Charlton U21s returned to winning ways on the road with a 4-2 triumph against Hull City.

There were four different scorers for Chris Lock's side on Tuesday afternoon, with Shia-Lee Burnham adding the finishing touches late on.

It was the hosts who found themselves in front early on as Zane Myers opened the scoring inside 15 minutes.

Fortunately, the young Addicks responded well to the setback as they scored two in two minutes.

The first came as Emmanuel Sol-Loza squared it for Ollie Hobden to fire in our first.

With Reuben Reid being brought down in the box just moments after the restart, allowing Henry Rylah to fire us in front from the spot.

Lock's side continued to threaten after the interval, adding a third on the 68-minute mark. Reid was able to take it round two Tigers' defenders, slotting into an empty net.

Hull bounced back in quick fashion, adding a second just five minutes later. Before Burnham provided a fourth for the Addicks, converting from close range after a bundle in the box, scoring his first goal at U21 level.

Up next for the U21s is a trip to Victory Park as they open their Premier League Cup account against Preston North End on Tuesday, September 23rd (KO 7pm BST).
