U21 REPORT | Ipswich Town 1 Charlton 1

'

Charlton's U21s came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town on Friday afternoon.

Mandela Egbo, who has been sidelined since October with a quad injury, completed a valuable 60 minutes for Danny Senda's side at Playford Road.

The hosts raced into an early lead through Harley Curtis, who fired the ball beyond past Ahmed Kone after eight minutes.

The young Addicks were back on level terms just moments later when Jeremy Santos teed up Patrick Casey and the Irishman slotted home from close range.

Richard Chin then rifled into the side-netting when well placed and Osman Foyo blasted over for the Tractor Boys in an end-to-end contest as the points were shared in Suffolk.

The U21s are back in action on Thursday, March 16th, travelling to west London to take on QPR (7pm KO).

Charlton: Kone; Egbo, O’Connor, Mitchell (c), Chin; Kedwell, Santos, Adigun; Ladapo, Casey, Oguntayo

Subs: Asiimwe, Roddy, Williams, Rylah, Viggars

Goal: Casey 10
