TEAM NEWS | Five changes for MK Dons encounter

George Jones reports from The Valley

Karl Robinson has made five changes to his starting XI for this evening’s fixture against MK Dons at The Valley (7.45pm).

Declan Rudd starts in goal, with fit-again Chris Solly and Jason Pearce coming into the back four. They will play alongside Patrick Bauer and Jay Dasilva, who earns his maiden senior start.

In midfield, Johnnie Jackson will adopt an anchoring role - as he did at Peterborough United on Saturday - with Jake Forster-Caskey and Joe Aribo, also just back following injury, playing just ahead of him in the heart of the engine room.

Ricky Holmes will operate at the top of a midfield diamond and up front Tony Watt and Josh Magennis will lead the line, with Lee Novak not having recovered from the injury he suffered on Saturday.

On the bench, Dillon Phillips is the Addicks’ back-up goalkeeper, while Adam Chicksen, Andrew Crofts, Jordan Botaka, Fredrik Ulvestad, Nathan Byrne and Jorge Teixeira are also available in reserve.
