Chris Solly will captain Charlton for this afternoon’s fixture against Southend United at The Valley, as Karl Robinson makes four changes to his starting XI.

Declan Rudd keeps his place between the posts and he will be protected by a back four of Solly, Patrick Bauer, Jason Pearce and Jay Dasilva. 

Ahead of them, Andrew Crofts, Ezri Konsa and Fredrik Ulvestad make up a central midfield trio, with Nathan Byrne and Ricky Holmes operating either side of them.

The wide duo will also be in close proximity to lone front man Josh Magennis.

On the bench, Dillon Phillips is again the substitute goalkeeper while Adam Chicksen, Johnnie Jackson, Tony Watt, Jordan Botaka, Jake Forster-Caskey and Jorge Teixeira are also available in reserve.
