Injury update on Akin Famewo, Conor Washington and Ryan Inniss

Lee Bowyer gave an injury update in Thursday's press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Rochdale.

Akin Famewo

"Akin is obviously back training. What I’ll try and do is to let him get some minutes with the U23s. He’s been out a while, so he looks a bit rusty in training, which you would expect as it has been a while. We’ll try and get him some minutes in an U23s game – maybe 45 minutes, see how he is, maybe 60 and then get that rustiness out of him and then he’ll come back in properly. We can’t rush him back, we don’t want to lose him between now and the end of the season."

Conor Washington

"We won’t take the risk with Conor. If we really wanted him to be on the bench then we could but we aren’t going to gain anything by rushing him back and trying to push it. We’ll give him an extra couple of day and he’ll start training on Monday."

Ryan Inniss

"We’re just waiting for Ryan to have his scan, maybe in 10 days time, something like that. His scan that he’s got to have to see if it is fully healed. Once we get the go ahead with that then he’ll be back out and we’ll get him ready."
