MATCH PREVIEW | Morecambe v Charlton

Charlton travel to the Mazuma Stadium for the first time on Tuesday night (7.45pm) to take on Morecambe in Sky Bet League One.

The Addicks remain unbeaten in the league under Johnnie Jackson and extended that run to five games on Saturday after condemning table-toppers leaders Plymouth Argyle to a first league defeat in 17 at The Valley.

TEAM NEWS

Jackson confirmed Jonathan Leko and Pape Souaré have both travelled with the group to Lancashire, while club captain Jason Pearce (knee) will be assessed having been forced off against the Pilgrims last weekend.

Top scorer Jayden Stockley will serve the second of his three-match suspension, with Stephen Henderson (concussion) and Adam Matthews (calf) joining long-term absentees Sam Lavelle (groin), Ryan Inniss (quad) and Jake Forster-Caskey (ACL) on the sidelines.

The hosts, meanwhile, will check on the fitness of Aaron Wildig (ankle) and Jonathan Obika (hamstring).

THE OPPOSITION

Enjoying their first ever season in the third tier, the Shrimps currently sit 18th - three points above the relegation zone - and boast the division’s joint top scorer in Cole Stockton (12).

Stephen Robinson’s side come into the fixture buoyed by a 2-1 Lancashire derby triumph at Fleetwood Town last weekend, halting a six-game winless run in the league.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Tuesday’s encounter will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Andy Haines will be the man in the middle on Tuesday night. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in October 2018 - a 1-0 reverse at Rochdale in Sky Bet League One.

Haines will be assisted by Peter Gooch and Paul Graham, while Matthew Parry is the Fourth Official.

COLOURS

The Addicks will be sporting their white and black away strip at the Mazuma Stadium.
