MATCH PREVIEW | Charlton v Lewes Women

Charlton are back in FA Women’s Championship action at The Oakwood on Sunday afternoon (2pm) as they host Lewes.

The Addicks played out a goalless stalemate with Sheffield United in Crayford last weekend to extend Karen Hills’ side’s unbeaten run to five games in all competitions and register a fourth consecutive clean sheet.

Victory against the Rooks - who sit just a point below Charlton in 7th - this weekend could see the Addicks rise as high as third depending on results elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the visitors travel to the capital for their first fixture of 2022, with their last outing coming just over a month ago - a penalty shootout triumph over Women's Super League outfit Reading in the Continental Cup.

The Addicks went down to two first-half strikes in the reverse fixture at the Dripping Pan in October, with Paula Howells and Amelia Hazard both on the scoresheet for Lewes.

Tickets are still available for Sunday’s clash against Lewes, starting from £10 for adults and £5 for concessions – click here to get yours!
