Sam Lavelle suffered a shoulder injury during Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon which will rule him out for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.
Since joining the Addicks from Morecambe last summer, the centre-back has made 19 appearances and scored twice.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday evening, the 25-year-old said: “Season done for me after doing my shoulder last night. Frustrating year for myself with two freak injuries and as a club we know we’ve massively underachieved. But I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first season in a Charlton shirt and will go again in pre-season.”
