England U23

Mia Ross and Kiera Skeels both started for the young Lionesses in their two U23 European league fixtures against Norway and Belgium. 

Ross completed the full ninety minutes as England secured their first point of the competition against Norway in a 1-1 clash, while Skeels was substituted with ten minutes remaining.

In their second bout of the international break, the pair were named in Emma Coates’ starting eleven as the U23s secured a 3-0 triumph over Belgium. Kiera Skeels netted the all-important second goal in the 72nd minute to secure the three points at Shrewsbury’s Croud Meadow.

England U19

Elsewhere, Freya Godfrey was named in the starting line-up for the England U19’s 3-3 draw against Germany at St. George’s Park. Also came off the bench in a 5-0 win over Denmark last week, where Godfrey netted for the young Lionesses in additional time.

Wales

Our summer signing Kayleigh Green featured for the Welsh national team in their two fixtures this international break in the UEFA Nations League. The 35-year-old forward started up front in a 1-0 defeat against Iceland and came off the bench in a 5-1 defeat to Denmark.

Wales currently sit bottom of Group 3 following their two defeats in their opening two fixtures.

Northern Ireland

Meanwhile, Rebecca McKenna remained on the bench for Northern Ireland as they suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of the Republic of Ireland at the Aviva Stadium. However, McKenna featured for the full 90 minutes as Northern Ireland secured a 1-0 win over Albania. 

Northern Ireland currently sit 2nd in their Nations League Group with one win and one loss to their name.
