Nathan Asiimwe is a product of Charlton’s academy who signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2023.

He has been with the Addicks since U9 level and is capable of operating as a full-back or a centre-back.

The defender enjoyed a successful 2022/23 campaign at academy level, winning the Professional Development League 2 - South title with the U18s and the 2023 London Senior Cup with the U21s.

Asiimwe made his first-team debut at Plymouth Argyle in the EFL Trophy in November 2022 and provided the assist for fellow academy graduate Karoy Anderson’s debut goal.

In December 2023, he signed a new long-term contract until 2026, with the option of an additional year.
