Player Biography

Kate Longhurst signed for Charlton on a one-year deal in the summer of 2023.

Joining the Addicks as Karen Hills’ first summer signing of the 2023/24 window, Longhurst is an experienced midfielder who has been involved in Women's Super League action since its inception in 2011.

She began her career at her local side Colchester United, netting 18 times during her first season in football. She departed the club in 2009, spending the next couple of years with Watford and Millwall.

She transferred to Chelsea in 2011 and reached the FA Cup final in 2012. Longhurst then made the move to Merseyside and was part was part of the Liverpool side that earned back-to-back WSL titles in 2013 and 2014.

After a successful five-year spell with the Reds, she headed back to the capital and joined West Ham, where she spent another fruitful five years before moving to Charlton.
