Player Biography

Carla Humphrey shared the wonderful news in April that she and her partner were expecting their first child.

Her pregnancy means that the 28-year-old midfielder, who won Charlton Women’s Player of the Year award for 2023/24 during her first season with the Addicks, will miss much of the coming campaign.

However, the attacking midfielder, who has taken part in some elements of pre-season training, is hopeful of being involved towards the latter end of the season.

By the time she returns, Humphrey will have gone over a year without making an appearance having missed much of last season following knee surgery.

Her creativity and forward threat were missed, with Humphrey’s having scored four goals in 24 appearances during her first season in SE7, playing a significant part in the Addicks finishing second in the WSL.

She also boasts a great deal of experience having made just shy of a century of Women’s Super League appearances and previously achieved promotion from the Women’s Championship with Liverpool at the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.

Her teammates and Charlton staff will be delighted to see a fit and healthy Humphreys make a return, and even more excited to be introduced to a next generation Addick.
