Carla Humphrey signed for Charlton on a two-year deal in August 2023.

After signing her first professional contract in 2015 with Arsenal, Humphrey gained experience on loan at Doncaster Rovers Belles. She moved to Bristol City in 2017 where she made 76 appearances, shining in the Women's Championship.

After four years with the Robins, Humphrey transferred to Liverpool in July 2021 which resulted in promotion to the Women's Super League.

Humphrey has also represented England at various youth levels.
