Tom McIntyre joined the Addicks in February 2025, arriving on loan from Sky Bet Championship outfit Portsmouth for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.
Born in Reading, McIntyre joined his hometown club at the age of eight and progressed through the youth ranks to sign his first professional contract in the summer of 2016.
The left-footed defender earned his senior debut in December 2018 in the Royals’ Sky Bet Championship fixture against Rotherham United, playing the full 90 minutes despite fracturing his skull during the early exchanges.
He made 28 appearances in the 2020/21 season and scored his first Reading goal in a 2-1 victory at home to Luton Town on Boxing Day 2020.
The Scotland youth international was rewarded with a new contract in the summer of 2021 and he would go on to feature 117 times for the Royals before joining Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee in January 2024.
The 26-year-old joins the Addicks having made 13 appearances for Pompey this season.
