Charlie Kelman joined Charlton in the summer of 2025, arriving from Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee.

Born in Basildon, Kelman spent much of his youth in the United States and has been capped by the USA at U18 and U20 level. He joined Southend United in 2018 before moving to QPR in 2020.

Loan spells at Gillingham and Leyton Orient followed, the latter seeing him play a key role in the club's promotion to Sky Bet League One. A stint at Wigan Athletic preceded his return to Orient during the 2024/25 campaign, where he scored 27 goals in all competitions and claimed the Sky Bet League One Golden Boot as the O's secured a sixth-placed finish.
