Player Biography

Scotland international Lyndon Dykes joined the Addicks on a permanent deal in January 2026.

Born and raised in the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, the striker represented Mudgeeraba, Merrimac, Redlands United, Gold Coast City and Surfers Paradise Apollo before sealing a permanent move to Queen of the South in the summer of 2016.

While with the Scottish Championship outfit, Dykes scored 23 goals and provided 34 assists in 136 games to earn a switch to Scottish Premiership side Livingston.

After finishing as Livingston’s top scorer in his debut season, he moved to Queens Park Rangers for a significant undisclosed fee in the summer of 2020 and would go on to enjoy four years in west London.

During his time at Loftus Road, Dykes bagged 37 goals, registered 12 assists and established himself as a regular in the Scotland national team, who he has now earned 48 caps for, scoring 10 times.

In August 2024, he joined Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee and helped the Blues lift the Sky Bet League One title during his first campaign at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park, before featuring 23 times this term.
