Player Biography

Luke Chambers joined the Addicks in January 2026, arriving on loan from Premier League side Liverpool.

Born in Preston, the left-sided defender joined Liverpool at the age of six and progressed through the Reds’ academy to sign his first professional contract in 2021, before winning the U19 European Championship with England the following summer.

After enjoying a successful loan spell with Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock in the second part of the 2022/23 campaign, Chambers was handed his Liverpool debut by Jürgen Klopp in the Reds’ 3-1 victory over Leicester City in the Carabao Cup in September 2023.

He then earned three Europa League appearances – including starts against Toulouse and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise – before spending the latter half of the 2023/24 season on loan at Wigan Athletic.

Having featured under Arne Slot during Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the summer of 2024, Chambers returned to Wigan on a season-long loan.
