Award sponsors confirmed for 2025 CACT Awards

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) are pleased to confirm five award sponsors for the 2025 CACT Awards, with the ceremony set to take place on Thursday, October 23rd, in the magnificent surroundings of the House of Lords in Westminster.

The annual CACT Awards recognise the achievements and contributions made by stakeholders over the past year, with CACT staff nominating a range of participants, staff and partners across five different categories.

An independent panel of five judges (pictured below), consisting of Marilyn Toft (Chair of Trustees at CACT), Dave White (Managing Director of event sponsor ITRM), Steve Sutherland OBE (CACT Ambassador), Farai Nyadundu (CACT Trustee) and Azmeena Azim (CACT participant), selected each award winner from a wide range of nominations.

Adams & Bowles Wealth Management are sponsoring this year’s Participant of the Year (over 18) Award. This award recognises the exceptional contribution or achievement of a participant aged 18 or over within any of CACT’s programmes.

The University of Greenwich are this year’s Participant of the Year Award (under 18) sponsor. This award celebrates a participant aged 18 or under who champions CACT’s values and acts as a role model to others.

Bayliss Executive Travel are sponsoring this year’s Programme of the Year Award. This award celebrates the CACT programme that has delivered the greatest impact in our community over the past year.

This year’s Partner of the Year Award is sponsored by RSK Group. This award is for partners, be it a business, local community organisation or school that goes above and beyond to help CACT deliver programmes that change lives.

The Outstanding Staff Contribution Award for this year is sponsored by former Charlton Chairman Roger Alwen and his wife Heather. This award is open to any member of CACT’s staff who were nominated by colleague(s) for the outstanding impact they have on our community and those they work with.

CACT Vice President Lord Michael Grade of Great Yarmouth will host this year’s ceremony, with accolades being presented by sponsors or representatives for the five categories above, in addition to the Sir Maurice Hatter Outstanding Contribution to the Community Award. Everyone at CACT looks forward to celebrating our participants, partners and staff during Thursday’s ceremony.
