Miles Leaburn scored the 32nd goal of his young career in Charlton Athletic’s 3–0 victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Tuesday evening.
It was also the 21-year-old’s first Championship goal, and it was set up by a familiar face in former academy teammate Tyreece Campbell, whose cross found Leaburn to head home the Addicks' third of the night.
"I just remember seeing TC and obviously when you see TC out there, you know he's going to deliver something in," Leaburn said. "I was just on the move ready and then headed it in.
"He’s probably assisted so many of my goals now. He's a great player, he's quick and delivers a good ball in and showed he can do that.
"It's always amazing to score. I haven't scored in a minute. I told myself I'd never knee slide again, but with the vibes and the scenes I had to.
"I already knew if I scored I was running straight towards them [the Charlton fans]. They were amazing all game!"
Leaburn’s goal sealed a superb away performance for the Addicks, securing all three points and moving Charlton up to fifth in the Sky Bet Championship.
"I'm a bit speechless," Leaburn added. "We were obviously coming in trying to win, but to win by this margin and how we did it, it was just incredible."
