BBC visit CACT Holiday Courses

-

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) welcomed the BBC to its holiday courses on the same day the Lionesses celebrated their UEFA Euro 2025 victory in front of more than 60,000 fans in the capital.

CACT’s holiday courses give girls the opportunity to take part in mixed sessions throughout the summer holidays, as well as weekly girls-only sessions.

Following the Lionesses’ triumph in Basel, the BBC visited Sparrows Lane to film several girls-only holiday course sessions and interview up-and-coming female players, along with CACT staff. The feature was part of a report aired on BBC London News.

Senior Football & Sports Development Officer Bradley Marshall said: “It was great to have the BBC visit us and put a spotlight on our women's and girls’ programmes, specifically the Football Holiday Courses and what we're doing over the summer. Off the back of the Lionesses winning the Euros, we hope to see an increase in females participating over the summer, whether you're someone who's new, looking to get into football or whether you're like a regular player.”
