Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) enjoyed a jam-packed day on Saturday, April 25th, as the club marked the 2025/26 Upbeats Day.

The day began at Sparrows Lane, where 200 walkers gathered before setting off on the seven-mile Upbeats Walk fundraiser, which finished at The Valley. Charlton legends Peter Garland, Colin Walsh, Paul Mortimer, John Humphrey, Kim Dixson and Simon Webster all took part alongside family members of the Upbeats and Addicks fans.

After completing the walk, participants were led onto the pitch by the Upbeats ahead of kick-off.

The Upbeats then took centre stage once again prior to Charlton’s clash with Hull City, serving as flag bearers as the teams entered the pitch, while lifelong Addicks fan and Upbeat Tom Hawkins had the honour of leading the sides out.

At half-time, the Upbeats returned to the pitch for a lap of honour and received a warm reception from both Charlton and Hull supporters, before heading back to the stands to watch Nathan Jones’ side secure a crucial victory.

Alongside the 200 walkers, and everyone who has already donated to this year’s walk, CACT would also like to thank Reebok, Bubble and Sausage, and Swizzels for their generous support in providing commemorative shirts, food and refreshments for participants throughout the day.
