Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) are delighted to announce that Rivervale MAXUS will be the title sponsor of the sold-out CACT Golf Day on Thursday, May 1st.
The Golf Day, which is hosted to raise funds to support CACT’s continued work in the community, takes place at the Wildernesse Golf Club in Sevenoaks and will see a host of Addicks legends pick up their clubs, including Steve Brown, Jonathan Fortune and Scott Minto, who will be hosting the day. The fundraiser will start with each player receiving breakfast before hitting the greens with a shotgun start, while a two-course meal is served up once the round has finished, along with games and a raffle in aid of CACT.
Ben Freakley, Rivervale MAXUS Group Marketing Manager, said: “We are extremely proud to be supporting the CACT for 2025. The important work they carry out not only empowers communities but improves all aspects of life and wellbeing in today’s challenging world. We at Rivervale are committed to supporting a number of charities and are proactively involved in a number of community outreach programmes. From providing sustainable transport to empowering young people and supporting vital charities - our aim is simple - to make a difference.”
In addition to thanking Rivervale MAXUS for their support, we would also like to thank our three Golf Day hole sponsors: University of Greenwich, DBD Services and Martin Arnold.
CACT CEO Jason Morgan said: “Once again, my thanks goes to our good friend Russell Mears for helping secure this wonderful venue for a second consecutive year and to Peter Walter, General Manager of the Wildernesse, for his support. This event is in aid of CACT and I’d like to extend my personal thanks to all of our key partners who have kindly provided sponsorship. Particular thanks go to Vince Pemberton and Rivervale Maxus who are our title sponsors for the day.
“The work of CACT has been ongoing for over 30 years and I am extremely proud of everything we continue to achieve as an organisation. Just in the last few weeks alone we have seen more than £41,000 raised for the Charlton Upbeats, while our Youth Engagement Vehicle programme has been named ‘EFL League One Community Project of the Year’.
“We rely on days like this to raise funds to support these award-winning projects and programmes that we deliver that have a positive impact on so many lives. Good luck to everyone supporting us on the day.”
