Pre-1950s
Scotty Kingsley (1912-23)
Appearances: 20
Goals: 2
An enormously important figure in the formative years of Charlton. Kingsley was a talented forward who travelled from park football all the way to the Football League. His reluctant agreement to be sold to Fulham in 1923 saved the club from bankruptcy.
1951-85
Len Glover (1962-67)
Appearances: 196
Goals: 24
A fast and skilful left winger who was a great favourite with The Valley crowd for five years in the 1960s. One of football’s real characters, there was real disappointment when Glover was sold to Leicester City.
Post-1986
Johnnie Jackson (2010-18)
Appearances: 279
Goals: 54
A towering presence during a highly turbulent period in Charlton’s history, Jackson was captain of the 2011/12 promotion side and one of the most popular players of recent years. An England U20 international, Jackson was Charlton Manager between 2021 and 2022.
Women’s Hall of Fame
Casey Stoney MBE (2002-07)
An England international defender who was capped 130 times, Stoney captained Charlton through their most successful period and played in the 2005 FA Cup winning team and the two League Cup successes. She was awarded an MBE in 2015.
