Charlton's U18s were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with Peterborough United at Sparrows Lane on Tuesday afternoon.
Reuben Reid and Jack Belton were on the scoresheet for the young Addicks early on, before a turnaround saw the visitors draw level ahead of the hour mark.
Jason Pearce’s side established their lead within eight minutes through Reid, who showed some fantastic footwork to take it past two defenders and convert with a cool dinked finish.
Reid turned provider just shy of 10 minutes later, wrapping a free-kick in towards the far post, where it was met by the head of skipper Belton.
The away side pulled their first back ahead of the half-hour mark as a scramble in the box saw the ball fall to the feet of Andre Changunda, who converted with ease.
Posh then equalised after the interval as Rylie Fitzpatrick’s corner snuck in at the far post ahead of the hour mark, ultimately earning the visitors a point.
The U18s are back in action on Saturday with a trip to Millwall (KO 10.30am BST).
