Charlton's U18s suffered a 2-1 defeat against Millwall on Saturday.
Ellis McMillan netted for the young Addicks, drawing the sides level with a fantastic response on the hour mark, before the hosts regained their lead shortly after.
Ayman Sheikh drew first blood on the day, firing the home side ahead in the 59th minute. A superb solo run from the hosts’ winger saw the ball cut back across the face of goal for Sheikh, who slotted in from close range.
Jason Pearce’s side responded well to the setback, equalising just two minutes later. A strike from distance was deflected into the path of McMillan in behind the Millwall defence and he fired in with a well-taken strike.
The Lions re-established their lead just 10 minutes later when neat ball was threaded out to Sacha Vieira, who drifted into the box from the flank and found the back of the net with a placed finish.
The U18s round off their 2024/25 campaign on Saturday with a trip to Birmingham City (KO 1pm BST).
