Charlton's U21s won the London Senior Cup for the second year in a row with a 2-1 victory over Hendon at Champion Hill on Monday night.

Patrick Casey, who was named Player of the Match, bagged a brace, taking his goal tally to 38 for the season.

The red-hot Casey opened the scoring within five minutes, converting from close range. Lucas Perry made a vital challenge at the back for Hendon, however, the 18-year-old was there to steer a first-time effort into the bottom corner.

Six minutes before the interval, the young Addicks extended their lead, once again courtesy of Casey. The forward beat the offside trap to find himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and he slotted home coolly.

Kurtis Cumberbatch came close for Hendon with a free-kick, but Henry Molyneux produced an important save.

The Greens claimed a consolation goal in the final minute of normal time as substitute Mert Apat converted from close range. 

Fortunately for Chris Lock’s side, Apat’s goal would be the final threat from the opposition as Charlton retained the London Senior Cup in East Dulwich.
