Appleton looks ahead to Burton visit

Michael Appleton says he may have one or two players back from injury for Saturday's game against Burton Albion at The Valley.

Asked for an update on the injury front, the Head Coach said: “We’ve got one or two that are sort of 50/50 that are coming back into it hopefully. They could give us a boost in terms of the squad for tomorrow.

"In terms of the lads who played last week, everyone is pretty much okay."

Burton, who have lost their last five league matches, will be led by Caretaker Manager Gary Mills this weekend.

“What they will have is spirit and we’ve got to find a way to get rid of that spirit," explained Appleton. "The best way to knock the spirit out of a group of players is to score early if you can and then apply ourselves in the way that we have been doing in recent games.

"If we do that then I think we’ve got more than enough to win the game.”
