The club are thrilled to announce that defender Beth Roe has signed a one-year contract extension with the Addicks, keeping her at the club until 2023.

Roe signed for the Addicks following her departure from FA Women’s Super League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion. The 22-year-old spent a season on loan with the Addicks in the 2020/21 campaign and signed on a permanent basis at the start of last season.

The Norfolk-born full-back featured in all but one fixture during the 2021/22 league season, amassing 26 starts in all competitions.

The defender shared her emotions upon signing her contract extension: "I am thrilled to be extending my stay at Charlton, I think we achieved a lot in our first season as a fully professional team, and we can all be proud. Now looking ahead into the upcoming season we can really look to  push on even further."
