Today marked the final game of the 2024/25 season and, while promotion was no longer in reach, the Addicks needed all three points to secure third place, a task they completed comfortably with two second half goals.
The first half was largely uneventful, with both sides defending well but creating little going forward. Charlton's best chance came in the 30th minute when Hutton made a run down the wing, continued along the byline, and fired a shot that struck the woodwork.
The breakthrough came for the Addicks in the second half. Beth Roe, making her return to the starting XI after a long-term injury, opened the scoring with a curling effort from just inside the box.
Only three minutes later, Katie Bradley doubled the lead with a strike from outside the area, sending the ball into the bottom corner.
Charlton remained dominant for much of the second half and held firm during spells of Saints pressure and possession.
A strong finish to the 2024/25 campaign sees the Addicks claim third place.
